They see him as a shooter, but he is cutting to the hoop, he’s putting the ball on the floor, he’s hitting a drop pass to Bam and he’s using his size to get to the rim on those cuts and put the ball down. He does a lot of things that people don’t know he has. When you try to put him in a box with how his game is, he just continues to grow within it. His consistency and confidence has been there. We’ve seen that from him throughout these playoffs. He can be one of those guys who just breaks a game open. What was it like watching Duncan in the fourth go on that 8-0 run of his? But now we get to go back home with the series split. They say the series starts when an away team wins, and now it becomes a best-of-five. Getting off to that hot start and consistent, fluid start for us was great. I love seeing Max, Gabe, Duncan and Caleb, all of those guys stepping up and shooting the ball with confidence. Guys that typically at the very least hit a few more shots, it just wasn’t here for us in Game 1. KEVIN LOVE: Yeah, we felt like last game obviously was a tough shooting night for us. What was it like for you guys to get that hot start tonight and for you, to be back in the starting lineup, to see the shooters come back to life? It’s a very nice golf course and, you know, I really like it.Q. You know, you can move the ball around off the tee and I hit quite a few drivers, hit a few 3-woods and, you know, it never gets boring, which is nice. Do you feel comfortable on this course, a course that fits your eye? Hopefully I’d certainly like to be playing next week. I haven’t been able to get really good scores out of it and so, you know, I would love to play well this week and make The Playoffs but really just I want to kind of build the things on I’m working on and see if some good things happen and I’m going to play a few events in the fall.
Obviously it’s been a disappointing and frustrating year but my game has been better the last few weeks. JUSTIN LEONARD: I’m trying to build a little bit of momentum. With your situation with the FedExCup, are you going to go out and go for broke, go for the win? I mean not because of anybody but it was really trying to keep the greens alive and, you know, the temperatures have been a little bit cooler, although today was a little warm, but the greens are rolling out a little bit and they’re just a touch firmer than they were last year. I think they’re certainly in better condition than last year. Is it hard to be on the green? You like the greens so far? Hit the ball, didn’t hit the ball too close but made some nice two putts from longer range when I needed to and, you know, nice to make a few birdies. But nice to get off to a good start.ĭrove the ball really well. I think if all three of us played like that all year we probably be in a little different situation than we’re in. Talk about the round and you’re playing with guys, all three of you guys are doing it.
